I first heard of metamodernism through a peer during a Freethinkers Club meeting in college in 2015. After my soliloquy lamenting the limitations of our postmodern era, he mentioned to me the possibility of using advanced virtual technology to enhance the feeling of empathy through immersive art experiences. Intrigued, I spent years researching metamodernism online and was inspired to join the cause by creating this website to communicate to the public this moral necessity.
